Type R Dccd
Im currently looking at buying a type R, ive driven an RA, when i moved the dccd wheel there was quiet motor noise then a clunk
I had a drive in type R but there was no noise when i moved the dccd wheel
the lights moved up and down but didnt feel like it was doin anything.
Can anyone tell me if the dccd should make any noise when selecting?
Thx
Tim

Mine doesn't make any noises when altering torque split under power, it will clunk when accelerating hard, going over rises, tight hair pins or slow manouveres like parking if I've forgot to wind it off.

if there is a problem with the DCCD then the lights will flash on the dash when you move the control wheel.
Mine doesnt make any noise. But it does clunk at slow speed turning corners or parking, this is normal.

Right I've bought a STI TYPE RA and I've not touched the centre diff adjuster as I dont have a clue what this will do to the car. I know it adjusted the power transfer between the front and rear by tightening the diff but as to which setting does what I'm not sure any help? Ta

The controller can have a pronounced effect on the behaviour of the car in different conditions.
IMHO:
Normal road driving have the dash lights on green, ie wheel wound to fully open. Use this setting for parking etc too.
For a good blast set the wheel to just out of the green towards amber (just)
The further you go to fully locked the wilder the effect (not always a good effect!).
Fully locked: Never on a dry road, can be good in the gravel/snow. The lights are red for a good reason.

Fully open I think its something like 33% front 66% then adjusting the wheel is basically 'whatever' as its not preset.
