STIFF P1 GEARBOX

my p1 gearbox is difficult to put in reverse & VERY difficult to get out, all this is when stationary, any ideas

If you turn the engine off whist in reverse will it come out ok then? If so the clutch may need adjusting, other than that it may be a selector fault. How's fifth as it uses the same selector?

playsatan thanks for the quick reply, more info on prob - now gearbox out of car, reverse is and was the only prob,
