Rebuilding A wrx 95 Import Gearbox
Good Afternoon all
since buying my Impreza in January ive had numerous issues......
still love the car, just dont like the guy i brought it off much
the gear box has a problem getting into 5th and sometimes 1st gear....
it makes a horrible noise like a learner trying to do thier first gear change without the clutch
A friend of mine who i should have taken along with me to look at the car, is a brilliant mechanic and rebuilds gearboxes at Nissan with his eyes shut.
he knows what the problem is with the gearbox...... the synchro mesh has burnt out due to the previous owner/owners resting thier hand on the gear stick.
but he doesnt want to strip it off the car before hes got a good idea of what it looks like inside.
has anyone got some good photos of the inside of a classic wrx gear box so he can get a good idea or/and got a pdf version of the haynes manual?
thanks in advance all

I haven’t got any pics but i have got an old 1995 gearbox that has been in my shed for ages... I don’t know if its a runner (its supposedly had the fault fixed... Long story) But if you need parts, it might be an option.
Cheers,
Luke
