What should i get for my classic scoobie.
It's a turbo 2000 and i plan on getting a panel filter and an exhaust at some point but before all that i want to get a DV.

Don't need top of the range but want something with a loud and fierce PTTTTTTTTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

What you guys recommend?

I recommend getting one that blasts out 'look at me I'm a plonker' every time you change gear

They do take pressure off the turbo, but there again you do sound like a bus opening his doors every few hundred yards. If you want one get one, it's your car try here.

I'm running an APS dual port on my 2002 Bugeye. With the addition of a K & N panel filter I now get vent to atmosphere (psst) at 5-7k RPM full throttle gear change but silence on normal half throttle 4-5K RPM changes.

I had to pick the missus up from town last saturday - 3 in the morning, seemed like all the rude boys had come out to play, under body lights, dump valves, mecano spoilers, the lot. Fair play to em, but not my cup o tea.

My mate had a dump valve on his R5 GT Turbo......a long time ago now.......

People with APS dual ports - did you get these mapped in? I've read if you don't if can cause fueling issues??

Not sure they need to be mapped in as they only Dump pressure not increase pressure. They are adjustable so you can set the vent to atmosphere pressure to whatever you want - I should really get the car mapped due to the K & N but am waiting until I can afford a full system with sports CAT and will get the whole hit then.

Its to do with the ECU compensating for the dump valve.
Bascally what I can make out is that when the gasses are dumped the fuelling becomes rich, the ecu compensates for this on the next cycle by adding more air, trouble is, that your next cycle is back to normal meaning that you actually lean out (which isnt good).
It can cause problems, worst case scenario is piston damage, but it may take some time for that to happen unless you have some bad fuelling issues to start with.
Standard one is better in 99.9% of the cases.
