Flywheel skimming
Hi just wondering if anyone could shed some light on how much this costs to be done and how long it generally takes(assuming the wheel is off the car that is)

cant answer directly, but I just got a lightened one from API for £150 (on an exchange with a £50 surcharge)
It would be a heck of a lot less though to just skim it I dont think it would cost more than £30 quid

£150 doesn't sound cheap, but then you could just get a £30 skim on a flywheel. Getting someone to do that is easy. Finding someone who knows how much weight, and where it can safely been taken from, and that has the equipment to rebalance the flywheel is another.

i agree Spyder the original is about 11kg so i am told (have one sat in my back seat at present) and the lightened one is a good few kgs lighter.
To be honest looking around, £150 isnt a bad price at all, some other specialists charge that for a standard jobbie
