Question

I've got a WR Sport backbox on my '00 turbo, but am thinking of getting a full Scoobysport system, but am a bit confused on a couple of points:

1. Will I need to do anything to prevent overboost ?
2. I understand that I might be able to pass MOT by keeping the OEM centre section, but are there any other benefits ?
3. Will I get a CEL with no cats and is there a workround ?
4. If I'm going to keep centre, then can I keep WR Sport BB and just fit SS downpipe?

Cheers
Tim

I can do a few of these...
1. nope. Well, not unless it's chipped, & then only a possibility...
2. original centre is quieter than the SS one, the car should pass the MOT but it is more restrictive (ie less performance) - although I believe this would only be marginal - most oomph comes from the DP
3. nope, not on the MY00, only MY01 & later.
4. the BB is interchangeable - nearly all are. Except for the more exotic designs, pretty much any DP / centre / BB is interchangeable with each other.

Hope some of that helps. And I hope that some of it's right as well

Go to the dynomite scoobies page from the front page of this website - it shows you the output of loads of cars and their mods - many have just full ss systems.
