Hey Darms,

Helpful lot of "classic" owners on here

I ended up getting an Exeddy off e-bay from a company called techniclutch.
Not uprated or anything as the car is running standard power

If you do a search enter:

"subaru clutch gc8" and it will list 8-10 different ones, just select the one suitable.

Average cost for labour to fit a clutch is £200.00 + vat. £350.00 is VERY expensive.

Try Zen, or APi,

Mark.

I must say I'm relieved having read this thread.

My clutch has started slipping in 4th and 5th and I've heard horror stories that is's an engine out job and I wouldnt get much change from a grand

Just need to establish where the best place is to take it in the Watford area.

mike

i'm not too far from you, also looking for competent fitters in the area.

if I don't get any joy it may mean a long trip to API (Supply and fit) or Zen.

In all honesty mate by the time you work out your own lost time an dpetrol it's sometimes not worth the drive.

If you live in or around London I expect to pay a bit more

Let me know hoe you get on matey/ where you decide to go
