Question

I have a Magnex back box on my MY98 and I want to replace the centre section and downpipe with Magnex too. My question is how big a job is it and could I do it myself?

What tools are needed and would I also need new gaskets where the pieces join up?

Also, is there a hole in the new downpipe for the oxygen sensor to screw into?

Any help appreciated

Gavin,

Call Fakland Performance Centre (01592 773677) for advice as they told me they install a couple a week. They sent out the twin dump DP with very clear instructions. I had it fitted at a garage though as it was in already getting the up pipe changed. It does have the holes for the sensors too. IIRC they suggest 2.5 hours for and experienced mechanic.

cheers,
Paul
