Default Exedy Racing Clutch

I have been looking at the clutchs on scooby clinic....the two that catch my eye are:
Exedy Single Plate Racing Clutch & Exedy Double Plate Racing Clutch, apart from the costs, what are the main difference's in power handling ect.

what im trying to find out is, is it worth the extra £££

It is down to the torque you have/expect.

The single plate will cope with about 380 lbft and a bit of abuse, (I use an AP Organic single plate essentially the same clutch at 370 lbft for 3 years of road/competition, still perfect.)
The twin plate will cope with 500 ish lbft.

If you call them, I am sure they can assure you better than I can.
Graham.

I have used the twin plate for the past 4 years for daily driving, drag racing and some hillclimbs. Pushes 500-550bhp and have never had any clutch issues. Only required new pressure plate after 15k kms. As easy to use as a standard clutch but you can really cane it, 7000 rpm launches no problem

Not sure of the torque rating but 500ish that Graham mentioned sounds right.

I highly recommend.
