Default 6 speed sti box and diff, maybe has a problem!!

I have a 2002 STI 7 when turning the car left there is quite a bit of vibration through steering and you can hear some noise coming from the front of car.

I was told to replace the inner driveshaft on passenger side, i replaced the both sides with 4000 mile sti 8 driveshafts but the problem is still there.

The vibration only happens when turning left never right and is worse when in gear and excellerating going round the corner. If i take the foot off the acellerator the noise and vibration isnt as bad.

Could this be the front diff in the box and what would be cost to fix if so?

Otherwise does anyone have any ideas what to check next?

scoobboy: try changing your gear oil to redline shockproof light weigh or check your cv joint.

My WRX 5 Speed gearbox needed new syncros and i had strayed was into the extended warranty period that is covered by Modial Assistance not Subaru.

i know my gearbox is completely different to yours but i was told it was £600 just to get it out of the car and sent to a gearbox specialist for a report on what was wrong! i am sure a third party Scooby specialist would not charge as much.
