Default Ticking noise...just started

Hi guys, got a ticking noise coming from the underneath at the front it sounds like. Opened the window whilst driving and can def. hear it. Gets quicker in time to the speed of the car too.
Does it in a straight line and also in gear and out of gear(coasting) but seems to dissapear under braking !!! any ideas?
Its a '99 UK Turbo. Had the 2 front wheel soff the car for about 5 days as was getting them repainted and its started today.
If i get the car on stands on the front so both wheels are off the floor can you spin both wheels? as i need to try and find where its coming from.

Any help greatly recieved.

Cheers
Matt

nail or a stone stuck in your tyre? ticking on cornering is usually a CV joint, but as yours in a straight line i doubt if its that.

the front wheels should turn if both are off the ground they did when mine was having an MOT last month i think they will turn in opposite directions tho

Thanks for the reply, checked the tyres and cant see any nails or stones etc stuck in tyres.
Seems a bit strange since its only started when ive put the wheels back on from having them off the car for 5 days
There is also a mild, well its either a grinding or a mild dum dum dum dum but its louder at slow speeds but again goes completely when i brake.
Any ideas anyone? Or will i be giving Adam a call @ the Clinic when they open ?
Cheers guys
Matt
