Cz Impreza transmission
Hello forum members, this is my first post on scoobynet.
I own a Japanese Subaru Impreza Cz. It is a GF and dates from 1997. I have no idea how big the engine is but it is definitely an automatic.
This car has a problem. When I start and move from PARK to DRIVE everything works fine except that the car doesn't move. After revving the engine for a short while the wheels begin turning but usually rather quickly requiring rapid braking, then everything is fine until the next time I have to start from PARK, recently I have begun starting in 1 to try and negate the sudden power surge when things engage properly. If I go to REVERSE from PARK the car works perfectly until a forward gear is selected.
What could be wrong?
If I need a new automatic transmission from where would I buy it?
How would I find out the part number?
