when i change up to 2nd gear i get a feeling like its catching. its always been there, though its never got any worse, its never got any better either. oil is fresh, just done the clutch last month. if you chage really slow you cant feel it, and it doesnt happen when changing down! any ideas????

It could be something catching on the gear linkage itself. Most likely where the gear stick joins the horizontal linkage going forward.

 

Worn-out gearbox forks?
