Anybody got an idea where the springs are situated that centre your gear stick? There is resistance towards 5th but its loose towards 1st/2nd i.e it just waggles.

if i remember rightly when i did the quickshift on my93wrx

there is a spring that sits under the ball joint at the bottom of the gear stick
it could be just naffed or bunged up with ****e

its all held in with a circlip if i remember rightly
i took out my center console
and did it that way
nothing major
blather it back up with some copper grease once ya fin cleaning it all up tho
