Question Swopping gearbox parts:

I have 2 gearboxes.
An Sti v3 752VBCAA non dccd and a Type R 754 VB1CA with dccd.

Can I fit my visc centre diff off the CAA to the gearbox of the 1CA?
How much is the dccd unit off the 1CA worth?

Thanks:
Graham

Nope to the first question.

Heaps to the 2nd.

I believe that you can swap the whole back end of the box though. I'd need to check with the Rob-the-gearbox here to be certain.

Thanks David, didn't want to bother you with all the permutations directly, but seems I have! Sorry.

I am not sure the dccd is realy worth it.

thoughts are to splice a box together:

1CA gear set for obvious reasons + visc centre and 1:1 rear section.
Keep the 4:444 and sell the dccd to pay for the lsd in the front and a visc centre.

ie V6 dccd = V6 visc + lsd for the front.

I can pull much the same start time with my Sti v3 open diff/visc trans as a Type Sti RA with dccd/plated rear (open front I think)
