I went for a run out today and when stopping at the end of a run up a bypass I found that I couldn't select first gear. Having dipped the clutch a few times I managed to get it in first and then it seemed fine after that. However when coming down the box I selected second which it selected fine but after taking my hand off the gear **** it jumped into neutral. It seems fine going up the box in all gears but if I decelerate (sp) in second it just jumps out of gear.

Anyone had similar problems or ideas of what could be causing it? I have booked it in at my mates garage but wonder if I am looking at a full box rebuild or if it could be something something less sinister.

Car is a MY95 WRX by the way.
