decat downpipe or decat centre
ive had a thought
if i was to fit a decat downpipe to my stainless system with oe centre cat would this pass the mot. (newage sti)
i could then in theory fit a decat centre pipe (simple job) for track days etc
i suspect this may be an obvious question to some.

I think that temperature is critical; it will need to be really hot. You could ditch them all and fit a used STI 03 onwards Prodrive sports cat; the earlier ones were lagged and not very good (lagged to keep the heat in I think; as they werent efficient).

Go for the ThunderCat Sports cat.....this will also replace the second CAT pipe and join the centre section....little more money but i think will be worth it...

Well...i costed in my tunning thread:
£400 for the downpipe (new)
£50 for the centre section (second hand)
£150 for the prodrive backbox (second hand)
afew other bits like the fuel pump and airfilter...and then a final Map from Paul @ Zen (who also maps for TSL)...and bingo...you have the TSL 333 Package...just allot cheaper...
