Hi all,
I have an MY94 UK car and its lost third gear (or parts of it)
I happen to have a 93 WRX which I'm breaking up and I want to use the box and diff from it.
A couple of things have come up and I was after a bit of advice.
The WRX is cable drive and mines electronic. Can you just swap them over at the gearbox?
Next thing is my rear driveshafts are thicker than the ones on the WRX. Will I have to change those over and the hubs to get the diff to fit? (would like to avoid that as bigger shafts are stronger?)
Finally does anyone have a UK box they want to swap for a good WRX box with about 40k on it? Then I can avoid all the hassle and just swap the box.

Just swap the box and the rear diff.
Speed sensor will fit and so will the shafts.

Even though the shafts are bigger on the UK, will they still fit into the WRX diff?
So I don't need the hubs or shafts from the WRX?

Yes they will fit - Inner CV axle length only changed on 99 onwards cars.
