Rear shafts??
Hi all, had a prob wi my95 sti2 for a bit now. Has anyone had probs with the rear shafts?
I've had a strange noise coming from the rear, convinced it was the diff i changed it. Still getting noises so replaced the wheelbearing but it semmed fine. Thinking, can you get probs from the shaft?
there were 2 noises, a loud whine at high speeds when backing off and using engine braking. Now i get a strange mechanical rumbling noise when at low revs (1.5 to 2k) in 5th or 4th when i accelerate slowly putting the engine under load. It sounds like something not quite engaging.
Any ideas??
Cheers Johnny

I've got a similar problem on my 97 Type R. I changed the rear diff but still get the same noise. The noise is louder than the engine on the motorway! Was considering changing the rear wheel bearings next to try and cure it.
Would be intrested to know if anyone else has had this problem and found a cure.
