Default Skim fly wheel when changing clutch??

Will be replacing the clutch shortly in my uk 1995 scoob as it has started slipping, i bought a standard replacment today as i dont launch the car nor do i have power in excess of 300 horses.

it was bought of ebay and the advert advises that the flywheel should be skimmed or replaced at the same time.

I'm not forking out for a new flywheel and really getting it skimmed is going to be a problem as well. I would have to send the flywheel away to be skimmed which would leave me without the car for just over a week and thats a big problem.

If i dont skim it will i be a victum of clutch judder or something.

Rob

p.s any guides on replacing a clutch that i can use as reference to speed the job up when i come to do it.

been speaking to David at API and come up with a solution.... exchange flywheel!!. Good price to and i may even spend the extra to get a lightweight flywheel.

Lightweight flywheel, (bought at API) was one of my favorite mods, makes the car feel a lot more responsive

good way to go

I'm not a a fan of taking the meat of a oem flywheel but it's definetly the cost effective way compared to a billet one.
