Expecting my euro import wrx02 soon and will no doubt be looking for a replacement stainless back box. The PPP backbox sounds to be ideal because of relatively low noise at low rpm as i do a lot of motorway miles. Sounds as though the PPP will be difficul to aquire on an import for some time ?
Did i read a thread that another company makes the prodrive boxes ?
Any other recommendations for a 'not so loud' back box ?

If you keep the rest of the exhaust system standard, either a Remus or Supersprint will be OK. If you get rid of the center pipe and replace the downpipe, however, these can become quite loud indeed .

Thumbs up

Hi Graham

I've got a Scorpion, who I believe make the Prodrive BB. I do a lot of motorway miles as well and you barely notice it cruising. Put your foot down though,

Cheers

Graham,

I also do a lot of m/way driving (4700miles since Sept 1st!!).I've got a TSL back box on my MY01 and have found this to be fine at "normal" motorway speeds (ahem, 80-90mph). Gives a v.nice noise when pushed hard though although still not exactly loud from inside the car (have to wind the rear left window down to really enjoy the noise (hehe - childish or what!!)

Graham

The WRSport silencer has the same attributes as the Performance Package silencer. The only visible difference is the oval tailpipe design.

I'm sure that any UK Subaru dealer will be more than happy to fit one for you at your convenience.

Regards

Mike

The 01 is so heavily silenced and sound proofed that any backbox, on its own, will bearly change the noise level inside the car.

Even with a full system, the 01 is much quieter inside.
