Default Boost and Turbo size (sorry again !)

In the middle of modifying a TD04 and planning Apexi remap and I'd like to clear my head from everything I've been getting clued up on.

I get the feeling 1.1 / 1.2bar is the safe boost level although there are plenty of nutters turning the volume up higher than that

Does this depend on the turbo ? ie a TD06 big boy wont be working nearly as hard and therefore charge will be cooler than if a TD04 is having the nuts wringed out of it.

Also can someone explain this: as the inlet plenum volume is the same, a similar pressure from different turbos should result in similar power / torque figures no

Do bigger turbos run at higher boost pressures ? Or is the boost pressure the difference between inlet and outlet and therefore the bigger turbos are shifting a bigger volume of air, but pressure difference remains at the 'normal' values ?

Thanks
Clint
