Gear selection issue
Was at Bedford yesterday on a trackday. Came out of a corner very gently as there had been a spinner, went to change from 2nd to 3rd gear only to find I could select no gear other than 2nd.
Limped round to the pits and parked up, thinking it was game over. Went to lunch, came back and tried it again just in case. I could select a couple more gears. Moved the lever around a bit more then managed to select all ratios. It was very notchy at first but I tried it around the paddock and it was fine so decided to go on track. It was then perfectly fine all afternoon.
Anyone got any ideas? My car is a UK MY99 with a standard 5 speed box and standard clutch, running about 320/300.

Sounds like you were a very lucky man, its only a matter of time, would drain the oil through a sive just to check there is no signs of break up, better safe than sorry,. also a oil change would not go amiss, could have been overheating,.
Ps have you got a roll cage for sale..
