Default JDM STI V7 Exhaust

If I replace the centre pipe on my standard exhaust with a straight through pipe will the car still pass the MOT and will I get any problems or warning lights? As far as I know the Cat is in the downpipe nad the two boxes on the centre section are just resonators. Any advice welcome.

I have not done what you are planning but I've done some research recently as I'm planning to remove cat pipe and centre resonator pipe on a WRX03. As long as the first cat in the downpipe isn't removed you should pass MOT and no warning lights. Best if you get confirmation from someone who has actually done it.

Andy.

Thanks for the reply. I thought that was the case but as you say hopefully some one will have already done it and will advise.

Only the 1 cat on JDM STi's and thats in the down pipe, you shouldnt have any problems passing an MOT with a straight though center pipe unless the noise is drastically louder than before.
