Question

This has happened to me a couple of times now and follows after I've been stop/starting/1st gear crawling in heavy traffic. The clutch pedal gets much heavier than usual, it still works OK, and clears itself after a bit of clear traffic.

Is this normal or is it symtomatic of something more serious starting. Car (MY00 5dr) is going in for its one year service next week and I was wondering if there is anything I should mention to them.

Thanks

Mike

Thumbs up

Mike, I think this is normal. Just the clutch, transmission and fluids get hot. Feel the gearbox tunnel and you will notice a fair bit of heat when standing still in traffic. My MY97 did this and my P1 also appears to suffer. I suspect nowt to worry about
