All Subaru g'boxes are identified by a ' TY ' number on them. Let me know what they are on both boxes and l'll tell you if it'll fit.

Post it on here and if not me someone will tell you.

The one in the car will be able to be read off the chassis plate [ assuming the original box in the car still ] And the box out of the car has a white sticky label on the clutch housing close to the starter area. Check 'em out and post away.

The ratios in the boxes are the same - so no problem there. There is just the issue of the later clutch housing with 8 point fixing instead of 4 point. They do fit, just needs a bit of thought when you come to the starter motor fixing.
