knocking noise in reverse gear

when i select reverse and start moving i hear a knocking noise from the rear brakes i think could be somewhere else[mind you one of my so called friend did pull a couple of hand brake skids ,would that cause problems?]cheers

What year? I`ve got a MY96, rear calipers prone to sticking.. Hope this helps

I wouldn't worry my MY99 does it to. I just put it down to the rear pads moving slightly in the calipers. After having being forced against the front of the caliper when going forwards, if they are not a perfect fit they will be forced backwards when you reverse, making a noise. But then I could be wrong so if your still worried then you could always have a look yourself or get your dealer to check it out.
