Need some advice as the gearbox in my WRX RA gave up the ghost this morning...seems to be stuck in gear...

Was wondering...if I was to fit a standard WRX gearbox..will the ratios be radically different?

The car is a wrx ra tho....not an wrx sti ra so it does not have diff control?
