Hello Bill,
Welcome to Snet. Have a search in technical, absolutely stacks of info. Once you've done the research and you know where you're going start asking the specifics.
Same engine in the Sti as the Sti RA. RA stands for Race altered.
Have a look here
Subaru Impreza FAQ
What spec does your STI have currently?
Cheers

cheers guys, will check that link, and search the technical bit, got a 420 bhp 2wd sapphire cossie at the minute, but its going asap, in favour of a 4 door sti (probably an ra ) but i'm wanting a good reliable power figure, as it will be used daily

Am running my bugeye STi at 360 bhp with uprated fuel pump, tubular headers, GEMS ECU and APS 3" exhaust with cat. Recently I have fitted FSE adjustable regulator so it will be interesting to see if this has made any difference apart from the better pickup. It is a minefield out there deciding which way you want to go so be careful and think twice. I believe if it sounds to good then iot is to good to be true. So get your plan then re-visit scoobynet and put it to poll as someone may have tried similar and found problems. Best of luck Steve
