Clutch for 400+?
#2
The Lateral Performance Paddle clutches seems to be ok to around 400lbft (torque being the critical factor) beyond that and you need to start considering a twinplate clutch. Lateral Performance and Zen Performance have several clutch options available

MAY NEED ONE TOO
Hi m8
my clutch has started to slip and it looks like I will have to get a new one fitted. It may be cheaper for two if your intrested and we are'nt to far apart.
I have a 98 JDM (300bhp standard from factory) with engine rebuild , 3'' exhaust with sports cat, walbro & sx reg, equal fuel pipes, oil catch can this weekend. May be fuel rail change and Apexi FC from AndyF.
I have a Cusco single plate in at the moment.
Cheers

Sorry for butting in on your therad jas but im in exactly the same situation here (running 2.5 + 6speed + 425ftlb) according to the previous owner my clutch is a single plate but thats all I know, only problem is, its almost imposible to use in traffic (no bite point at all), if anyone knows of a usable clutch out there to suit with a reasonable price tag let me know too please.
