Default whats going on???

out driving my my00 classic earlier i noticed a strange kind of grindy/rattly noise coming from the car under heavy braking. also when im in 4th and slowing down it does the same thing when i get down to about 2000rpm. iv never really noticed it before but its actually quite loud and a bit worrying. sorry the explanation is a bit vague its just quite hard to explain especially being a newbie to all this

Try checking the brake pads.

Maybe the discs are warped?

not that either m8 the discs i changed were warped and they caused wheel wobble and things under braking, these seem fine. i dont think its to do with my brakes to be honest. oh and when i said that when slowing in 4th it does it at around 2000rpm thats not when im braking just when dropping through gears rolling to a junction or something. i think it could be something more serious because the noise made sounds a bit like gears loosly meshing if that makes any sense, like theres bearings or something worn somewhere
