Many conflicting concerns about these items . I personally have HKS SSQV and have experienced no problems . Others will say casues damage, chavy etc but its all down to personal choice. If you want one get one!

I do fancy a real loud one tho!! Just for the BS!! Is that the loudest and best quality. Baily dv12 seems cheap but whats it like compared.

Nooooooooo not another dump valver
Leave as is, dont make it sound like a 19yr old driving an RS Turbo down the high street trying to impress.
Your car is cool enough
Just my opinion

I had one on my Lancia, GTi-R and Classic Subaru. At the time, i loved it. But it must be an age thing, i'm not gonna get one for the STi. I don't want people lOOking everytime i change gear/let off. The least attention the better from now on.
You'll either love it or hate it. About £120 odd should see you right for a good one if you take the plunge.
I found the basic ones just give off one blast, while the piston ones (baileys i had on the GTi-R, gives more like a double whistle/chirp - if that's any help!)

Dump Valve
Recently got an 05 with ppp and the neighbours have started to comment on how noisy it is, and thats just on tickover. So now i'm thinking of getting one of those loud chav like dump valves just to **** em off further.
So, which type would be best, and would it cause any damage to engine long term?
