Gearbox leak

Gearbox leak
Perhaps you can help?
I've got a small weep of oil where the front wheel driveshaft exits the gearbox. It's not dripping, more a damp film that is collecting dirt.
Is it serious? A big deal to fix? Likely to lead to catastrophic failure of the box by dumping the oil when I'm not looking? Or hopefully no big deal.
I do two/ three trackdays a year and wonder if this has caused the wear.
Car is a 2001 JDM WRX with 36000 miles on the clock.
Any help gratefully received.
