Thumbs down gearbox/diff help!?

hi,

I have a 98/R impreza wrx wagon import but its had loads of performance mods done by the previous owner.

My problem is, the diff has gone, and it has a short shift (sti box i think) on it and i dont know what diff i need! any sugestions, does anyone know this transmission type/number or what the box could be? also where do i get a diff from with out getting ripped off?

Finally i have a flat spot between 2.5k and 3.5k i changed the plugs and it cured it for a coupleof miles but now its back! is it the leads or could it be something more sinister?

thanks for your advice
Nick

On the transmission front, call David at www.apiengines.com
For the engine; does it have a mappable ecu? If so could be that or just simple turbo lagg at those rpm's.

Graham.

Thanks for the plug guys

Nick, call me if you want, l'll need the transmission code off the chassis plate probably TY752 xxxxx may be TY754 xxxxx depending upon when in 1998 it was produced.
Once I have that I can advise you better,

Good Luck
