td05 or vf23 rollerbearing?
Just wondering if there would be any benefit to fitting a vf 23 roller bearing turbo to my96 uk turbo?Currently it makes 294 bhp and 251 lb/ft @ 1.1 bar boost with blitz boost control, blitz stainless air filter, blitz nur spec r(full system),de cat down pipe,440cc injectors and mapping from power engineering.
The vf 23 has been converted to fit early classic so would fit but would it spool up earlier and would there be any real benefits over standard td 05?

as far as i was aware there pretty similar at lowish boost, until the top end where the td05 would hold more
if this is the case i cant really see why it would be worth changing it

VF28 is smaller than a VF23, it may spool quicker but not significantly quicker than the 05 if you've got decent boost control. TD05 will make more power at the same boost.
As for headers, I've had GruppeS v2 on my car for more than 18months with no problems and good gains in power and torque, GT-Spec are similar but with a 3-bolt uppipe flange which is meant to be more robust/less leaky.
