Can different tyre tread depths front and rear damage the drivetrain?
Hi all,
As per title really. I'm changing my tires very soon and have noticed that the fronts have about 3mm more tread than the rears. Is this of any consequence to the drivetrain? Sorry if that's a silly question

no is easy answer..
I have changed tyres in pairs for last 92,000miles.
I haven't run different depths on the same axel and handling wise it would be unwise anyway, but different tread front the back has caused no problems.

That reminds me, I must PM you with some questions about getting an Apexi ECU and remap for my Scooby at some point after seeing your post on Kent Scoobies.
