Question Advice Required

I would like some advice please. I’m thinking about upgrading my ECU.

I don’t need PPP as I have a good enough exhaust with centre de-cat already.

The car is a MY98 Terzo.

Opinions on price and location would be welcome.

K.

i'd go to power and engineering in middlesex i went last week and saw power go from 233 to 265bhp. and torque went from 240lb to 277lb and thats on a panel filter and a cat bck exhaust . They charge £735 quid for the ecu tek remap and the best bit is the bloke who owns and designed the product is next door!!! So they ARE the BEST....FACT!!!

P/E's pc was down when i got there and the ECUTEK lad lent them his and he even came in to see howit was doin now thats service.

You can't ECUTEK a MY98. But Power Engineering do offer something for MY97/98 cars but it can get quite expensive if you want more than one re-map.

Do a search as MY98 ecu options have been covered quite a few times.

If you want the ECU ignition and fuelling set up for the mods you've got, and aren't planning on doing any more to the car in the future, then as above, get it done at PE - This will retain the standard ECU and all it's functions, such as knock sensor ignition retard, Diagnostics etc

If this is the start of the 'slippery slope' of modification, then I'd recommend you get a Power FC, due to the ease, and relatively low cost of having the maps and setting altered at a later date, for future hardware changes.

All IMHO. ( Having had both )
