Default Drive train losses

Are drive train losses a fixed value - eg 75bhp for a Scooby, or is it a percentage of the fly wheel value?

Just wondering, as, if it's a fixed value for the type of transmission, there would be a non-linear relationship, so it would be more worth while modding for extra power. a 240 bhp WRX would say put down 165 at the wheels, but mod it to 400, and it would put down 325.

just a thought. but it's firday afternoon, I'm ill, and probably talking sh*te!
