depending on the exact engine, you should be able to get the pins out by using a long 6mm rod from the opposite side. Rotate the engine so the crank is a little past BDC, this will put the rod you have to get past out the way enough to see the pin. So if you want to remove the pin from piston #1, you would put the long thin rod though the access hole for cylinder 3 (at the rear) past the #3 rod an up against the back of the pin for #1 piston, being careful that it isn't pushing against the clip.
After use the pins can be hard to remove as the clips cause slight burrs to form on the edges of groove.
