2hrs, 50' of exhaust wrap &....
....I still didn't finish the bleedin headers LOL
Gotta say though after what everyone said about how far 50' would go I couldn't have been that economical.....just another 10' or so would have done it
& oh boy is it the worst job in the world to do
Apologies for the quality of the photos but the digital camera broke so I had to take them on the camcorder
Before:
After:
Just got to find myself another 10' or so tomorrow & i'll be in business
BTW does anyone know what tools i'm gonna need to change them as i'm guessing my socket set & spanners just wont cut it LOL

I know of a few people running the Megan headers and to date no problems, before fitting them you could always have the slip joints added like the gruppe headers (H&S can do it)
Maffa - when you fit these make sure that they are not touching the sump on the right hand side as you look at the car, Barretts modified my sump slightly so the headers didnt rest on the sump and boil the oil. How did they modify the sump I hear you ask........a fecking big hammer LOL. The bottom corner just needs pushing in about inch so the air can circulate around the pipes.
PhilA - answer to your PM yes they are megan headers
So JGM is mappin the car.....when....It would be nice to meet up for a beer.

No wonder it took you a long time because they look really well wrapped. You don't have to wrap individual pipes though and perhaps that's why you ran out of wrap?
Megan look good value and cheap to replace if they do split.

You'll need more than 10 Ft to finish off, allow 30 if I were you. Floyds right you only needed to wrap the twin pipes together, each pipe then "helping" the other in heat terms.

MAFFA,
That is a work of art !!
I would have just wrapped pairs and then been ashamed of doing a slap-dash job (even though it would have sufficed) Pat yourself on the back fella - a perfect job.

Finished them last night with the additional 25' of wrap and an additional 10 snap-straps
They're soooo gonna stink for a bit with that heat paint on
Going to Scoobyclinic on 22nd for fitting as I well & truly chuffed doing it myself

Yup I was trying to get the old up-pipe out with the turbo attached as that seems to be the easiest way but for some reason it just wouldn't budge? I was as baffled as Bryan who was on the other end of the phone assisting me I had everything else off except that
