Thumbs up DCCD

Hi,

What's the torque split front/rear with my STi5 RA V-LTD and how does it differ with a normal STi.

I've played with the DCCD and it doesn't seem to make much difference, what does it do, I've read the thread with the instructions but am still not 100% sure, what does it lock?

Cheers,
R.

if you're brake pads are low on some models the dccd won't do anything apart from "free" regardless of where the dial is. quite why, i'm still not sure - obviously some design feature from the same team that brought you the "bright" button...

you should definitely (& immediately) notice wind up at low speeds with the indicator in the orange.

Question

Cheers for replying.

Yep, feels weird at slow speed with the diff lock, why bother with it? is it just a gimmick really?

Its one of those things that you either leave in the open position or learn how to use properly and wonder how you ever lived without it.

Dave.

very basically, as you wind it forward more drive goes to the front wheels making your car more stable but less fun. lock is for loose surfaces only tho...

wind it forwards for tight stuff in the rain or you'll do as i did and end up pointing the wrong direction wondering what that little dial did...
