CLASSIC TWIN SCROLL CONVERSION 3" EXHAUST SYSTEM
Hi,
I have just about finished my twin scroll conversion on my 94 jdm wrx apart from finishing the mapping. I have a 3" twin scroll down pipe from performance subaru mated to my previous 2.5" magnex centre (without resonator) and 6"x4" oval back box.
I am looking to replace the magnex from the DP back with a 3" system.
At the moment I am not happy with the noise, with it being a twin scroll the sound is completely different. I like the sound but It is very noisy around 1000-3000 rpm and is a bit of a pain when driving around town. Its a bit tinny. Is this because I have brand new exhaust manifold, will the exhaust note change when the manifold gets more run in.
Does anyone have experience of fitting a 3" straight through system to a twin scroll car.
I need a 3" system with preferably a centre section with silencer, to stop the booming inside the car.
Has anyone got any ideas as to a system that will compliment the twin scroll sound that is not too loud and maybe give a bit deeper sound because it sounds a bit tinny at the moment.
also would wrapping the DP help soften the sound.
Cheers
Mark

Give Bob Rawle a ring at BR Developments. He produced a 3" exhaust for the twin scroll. The centre section had a box built in to keep the noise down, that sounds like what you are looking for.
