Default Exhaust De Cat

Im looking into getting a new exhaust system for my 03 Sti So far Ive looked at the APS systems and H&S It seems H&S are very poplular has anyone got any views on APS?

Also how do you find getting past the MOT with a full de cat do you change over the system every time?

Thanks

I've got the APS system on MY02 WRX. Very well made, true 3" the whole way to the backbox, not too loud on the cruise and a nice (less boomy than most) growl when booting it - slightly different sound to many, and I like it. Power wise a 3" system is generally capable of a bit more than a 2.5", but unless you are modding to higher powers, there won't be a lot in it between one decent system and the next.

If you have full decat, some people get away with just putting the centre cat back in. This is not an option with the APS system as it doesn't use "standard" or modular parts. You therefore either have to change the full system, fit a sports cat (both APS and H&S do one) or find a "friendly" MOT station.

Thanks for the reply. I better start looking for a "friendly" MOT station then :-)
