Default walbro pumps......

I bought one from the classifieds, but it has arrived and is a GSS342, i think that for the classic i need a GSS341, am I right in this assumption, and if yes, whats the difference between the two??

Cheers.

IIRC the difference is only in the location of the inlet port at the bottom of the pump, one is in the centre and one is at the outside of the base (both pointing 'downwards'), internally there is no difference.

Does that mean it will or won't fit though? and what about the rest of the gear that comes with the kit??

Might just sell this one on again, and get the right one!

Cheers.

i have had the 342 and 341 in my classic and they both fit and work as well as each other.

dont use the sock in the kit cos they can cause starvation problems. take the one of your o.e pump and use the new retaining washer out of the kit.
