Default best buy & place for clutch & flywheel?

Hi all

in the distant future i hear the ka-ching of a clutch & flywheel denting my pockets as my current are on their last legs.
I've had a look in the searches but cant seem to find a good answer.

I hear good & bad things about AP organic clutches along with exedy etc. So anyone had good experience with any company imparticular that they would use again & recomend?
The clutch ideally to hold upto 350/400bhp (running 300bhp at the mo with more planned )
Also would i benefit from a lighter clutch than the o.e one?

Any ideas and help appreciated cheers

oh does not need to be fitted just where to get the items from!

Lateral Performance

Mark offers an orgnaic clutch that did my car proud at the upper end of you power ideal (it's torque that is more of a problem for clutches BTW) for a long time and some serious abuse inluding drag luanches at TOTB and SSO. The pedal pressure is lighter than O/E but other wise it drives just the same. If your really planning to push it like I am now with a 2.5 based engine then you could opt for his paddle clutch.

Mark doesn't have an active website, but if you go to http://www.lateralperformance.co.uk you can find his contact details there.

Lateral also do a rather nice 5 paddle paddle clutch.
Fitted it in mine along with a billet flywheel also from lateral.
Has withstood all the abuse I can throw at it so far..
Unlike the organic I had previously, although it hasn't really been proven whether it was a faulty clutch or was a faulty fitter (me )
It has to be said that the organic one, many people have found it worked faultlessly around 400hp... just not on mine.
Top Service from Mark as well!

If you want a cheaper not so light flywheel then API do one (around 8KG I think) for 150 notes exchange.

Tim, the standard flywheel is nigh on 12kg! I had mine lightened to 8kg which was about the practical limit for the stock cast unit without it being in danger of coming appart
