Help re engine mounting of 2.5L conversion
I've got an MY02 WRx and I'm going down the route of 2.5L conversion...since the STi7/8 engines have uprated engine mounting points...would the sti7/8 engine bed fit my car and give the extra support it needs (ie bracing)?

All the engine mounting points are the same, it is only the bushes that are different in stiffness.
Prodrive or STI mounts are regarded as better for higher power outputs, but transmitts more noise and vibrations to the chasis.

I think you can, but its just as easy to replace the bush and bracket at each side of the engine with new solid/stiffer ones. They arent too expensive IIRC. Speak to Mark at Lateral Performance he may well have some in stock (or RCMS, AFP, Zen, etc)

Had a word with lateral, they said you cant get just the bushes etc for uprating my car...cost was more expensive than same Sti engine bay item on ebay so I've bought one there.
Cheers for your help m8.
