Twin dump or open neck?
Finally got the spare cash to de-cat my MY97 (TD04). Could someone tell me the difference between the twin dump and the normal style and also the one you guys recommend. Looking for best performance (obviously!) and loads of noise!!
Thanks

You could have the open neck (H&S) with a splitter welded in between the wastegate and main turbo outlet, best of both worlds apparently.
Has anyone tried a before/after comparison on an open neck without/with a splitter? Any difference?

Questions you will never get an answer to.
The H&S d/p has a good press, go with popular trends!
As to lots of noise? Yes you will get a bit, but the back box does all the real work.
Enjoy!

It's probably the oldest exhaust question in Scoobynet and the final answer is open neck with splitter, even Prodrive changed the design of his downpipe to open neck including a splitter!
They know their job better do you think?
