oe subaru for a 99 model, although have heard the green filters are a dry type so may be a good bet.

I've had K+N on both my previous cars, was running around 300BHP with resonator removed. My injectors limited the power, I've heard these panels are good for 350BHP.

The K+N is an oil type, but I'm sure the MAF issues around the 99-00 MAF was vibration fron induction kits rather than the oil. The K+N induction kit is pretty much the only one recommended for that MAF anyway, also the K+N panel just needs a clean every now and then, not replacing.

A correctly oiled filter should not contaminate the MAF

According to the test in Scooby Magazine, the standard original item is as good as, if not better than any other, unless you're running big bhp!

only for a bugeye...Green cotton for MY99\00; no oil means it protects the MAF sensor.

If your running near to standard, save your money and stick to a standard filter.
