Default Recirculating vs Atmospherics DVs

Just wondering which feels smoother during gear changing, thus making shifts feel less jerky and allows for quicker shifts.

I don't have the energy.

Do a search. A newbie asks this question about 3 times a week.

Stick with the original, nothing wrong with it. To run the engine safely with a VTA, you will need a remap costing from £700.

vta's are fine, they make the car over fuel, this is because they dump air that's already been measured and the appropriate fuel has been added.

If you still have the cats' in this will damage them over time, if you don't have them it will give a little flame from time to time.

There have been suggestions of suffering bore wash when using a vta. Although it's a possibility I think it's a bit over exagurated by people who don't like vtas.

As stated there's nothing wrong with the orginal one, paying for a vta is just for the noise. It can be useful in certain cases though.

Oh and just to add, I had one for 20000miles trouble free... until I saw the light and no longer wanted the car to sound like a bus

I have a Forge VTA and a Forge recirc. I switch between the 2 depending on how I feel. The car does feel smoother with the recirc though. I do like the pops and bangs from the exhaust from time to time when I am feeling a little chavvy
