You'll need the up and down pipes to go with it of course. See Simon Lines thread in projects for details of just this.

I think if you really want a drag strip power monster then you either need Mr Wallis to build a cheap mota for you for old cereal packets Or be prepared for big £££'s to get to the 11's and 10's. Just a change of turbo isn't going to get you the results you want IMO but I guess you know that already

What power are you after and where will you use it?

I asked this before

as i recall bob rawle is running about 370bhp on an sti8 or 9 with one of these. I think it would be a good project, maybe with ported headers and a trimmed turbine you could see near on 400...

I think this would make a very nicely driveable car, I get a bit fed up of the lag on the 05/06 sometimes. Having said that you could probably do a 2.5l conversion for not too much extra.

so have you still got your 05/06 on then there may be a little lag on mine but when it comes on boost i get full 1.5 bar of boost at 3300rpm so its not too bad on mine

Well I think the TD04 takes an age to spool up so anything later is a pain

Yup, still got it. Not driven the car since october though

If you're happy with the 05/06 why not try an 06 turbine in the 05 housing, as far as I recall it has been done, a bit of machining is required and it's good for a bit of extra grunt.

BTW have you got a serious grudge against your engine internals? I don't think many people have pushed a standard engine so far!

Good luck,

Dave

I just found in USA a Legacy twin scroll TD04 complete with all the required parts for WRX fitment!
What is this, is the first time I read about this turbo do you know if it fits in our cars?

VF35 Strange choice. Can you post a comparison of the two when it's on?

Well I know the specs of them both, but an opinion is always better imho. Numbers can't tell you 'feel'

The VF35's a small turbo compared to the one he's using now. As far as I know the best realistic power made from this turbo is about 330bhp, 360 has been claimed but doubtful....... (flamesuit on ).
